| The Computer Operations function is performed by the Finance Department and is responsible for managing the city-wide computer network, providing internet and intranet access, file sharing, and access to central databases, such as the City's financial management system. The Customer Service division of the Finance Department provides services to the City's water system and other customers. This division is responsible for the accurate and timely reading of water meters; dispatching field service personnel to initiate or close services; preparation, distribution, and collection of monthly utility billings; administering and collecting deposits; prompt response to customer inquiries and requests; resolving customer disputes; and pursuing delinquent accounts. In addition to the above, this department handles all cash coming into the City of Anderson; parking tickets and business licenses are also collected by this division. | ||||||||
