Hip Hop Dance

Kung Fu
Kung Fu challenges both the mind and the body. Students will learn to take instruction, develop self-control, coordination, improve balance and become physically fit while having fun. While learning basic skills, and self-defense, students will also learn honor, respect, integrity, and fair play. Students will need to bring light and comfortable clothing. Class times; youth ages 5-8, 5:30-6:15, 9 and over 6:15-7:00pm. Cost for class, $20 a month. Family discounts available. Sponsored by Anderson Parks & Recreation. Beginning Baton
It is our goal to teach the basic fundamentals of the sport of baton twirling to children between the ages of 5 and 18. The class will include instruction in baton twirling combined with marching and dance. Students will learn a parade rountine and a show rountine. They will also be introduced to the baton twirling foundation events of basic and military marching and a dance presentation. Tuesdays at Meadow Lane School, ages5-9, 5:30-6:30pm, ages10 & up, 6:30-7:30, cost $25.00 month.

Body Balance
Monday & Wednesday, 8:30-9:30am, $45.00, Community Center, Anderson City Hall, 1887 Howard St., Anderson. Learn proper stretching to build muscle and increase flexibility for better overall health.

Country Western Dance
Four week course, new dances starting the beginning of each month. Instructor, Ed Duane. Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm in Community Center. Monthly $30 Couple/$15 Single

Introduction to Dance
(Swing) This is the perfect class for those who have wanted to dance but have never learned how. This dance, Four Count Swing, gets people out having fun quicker than any other dance. It teaches much of the basic information useful in all social dances without the complicated footwork. Class level is beginning and intermediate. 6:30 - 7:15pm. On-going class, beginning on Monday, March 2nd. You do not need a partner to attend. Cost:  $10 per class or $40 for 5 classes, students 21 and under get a 20% discount. Take both classes and save 50% on the second class, i.e. $15 per evening or $60 for 5 evenings. A beautiful slow dance that flows like the Waltz, but is danced to four count music. We will cover moves from basic through advanced in this on-going class. 7:15 - 8:30pm.
