"Dedicated to Professionalism and Service"
Under the leadership of Michael L. Johnson, Chief of Police, the Police Department is organized into two divisions: Field Services and Support and Administrative Services. Each of these divisions plays an integral part in the operation of the Police Department as we fulfill our goal to provide the community of Anderson with the highest quality of service possible.
The department has 25 full time employees who are dedicated to protecting the Anderson community and serving justice for the Shasta region. The Anderson Police Department deploys an aggressive and proactive enforcement philosophy to safeguard the city's North State quality of life. Officers maintain community partnerships and embrace community oriented policing principles; with special programs such as the Volunteer Patrol, the Neighborhood Watch Programs, a School Resource Officer, and Problem Oriented Policing projects to identify and resolve community problems. The department is truly a "Full Service" community oriented police agency that balances its service standards with its enforcement standards.
The members of the department pride themselves on providing friendly and humanistic treatment to our community members and the thousands of visitors who share our community.
