Anderson City Council
The City of Anderson, incorporated on January 16, 1956 and is one of the many California cities operating under the Council-Manager form of government. The Anderson City Council consists of five council members elected "at large" for staggered four-year terms. Council members must be residents of the City and registered voters at the time nomination papers are taken out.
Meet Our Council Members
Meetings of the Anderson City Council are held the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. The meetings take place in the Council Chambers located at 1887 Howard Street, Anderson. City Council meetings, except for closed sessions as allowed by law, are open to the public and participation by citizens is welcomed and encouraged.
The City Council agenda is prepared by the City Clerk, under the direction of the City Manager, prior to each Council meeting. The agenda sets forth the order and subject matter to be considered at the meeting. City Council agendas are available at the City Clerk's Office or may be viewed in the display case in front of the Council Chambers, 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the Council meeting.
